Dress Resale Calculator: Fees and Net Proceeds

Compare three dress resale offers after the fees and selling costs you enter. Keep buyer shipping, your shipping bill and pass-through tax separate. The sheet also solves a listing price for your target net cash, so a higher sale price does not hide a lower payout.

How to use it

Replace the example with your values and check units. Results update as you edit. Keep a scenario to compare, then export a file; this tool’s JSON can restore your inputs.

Worked example

A sale of 100 plus 5 buyer shipping, a 10% fee on both amounts, 2 fixed fees, 6 shipping cost and 10 other costs leaves 76.50 net cash. The original purchase price does not reduce that payout; it affects the separate ownership-cost comparison.

Method and sources

Net cash equals sale price plus buyer-paid shipping, minus percentage fees, fixed fees, shipping cost and other seller costs. Tax collected and passed through is not revenue; it enters the fee base only if you tick that option. The minimum-price calculation reverses the same equation. Original purchase cost is shown separately from cash received on this sale.

Starting values are a fictional example. The method and limits below describe what is actually calculated.

Who it is for, and limits

For comparing your own quotes or current marketplace terms in one currency. Example fees are fictional and editable, not platform presets. It is not a dress valuation, a tax return or a promise that a listing will sell. A 100% fee can make the target impossible; no finite listing price is invented.

Common questions

Are marketplace fees filled in automatically?

Fees are entered manually because platform, country, category and seller terms differ. Read your current fee notice before using a quote.

Why is the purchase cost separate?

It was paid before this sale. Net cash measures the payout now; subtracting the purchase cost separately shows a different economic question.

Does the minimum price guarantee a sale?

It only solves the fee equation for your chosen target. Demand, negotiation, returns and collection risk remain outside the calculation.

Where do my inputs go?

They stay on this page. An explicit export keeps data in your chosen file; nothing is saved automatically.

Can I compare and restore a scenario?

Compare keeps up to three scenarios during this session. The JSON download lets you restore a scenario after closing.
